Details were sketchy, but Southwest Mercer County Regional Police confirmed a man was shot in the leg in the area of Roemer Boulevard Thursday night.

Reports of gunfire in front of a tavern on Roemer were first heard at about 9 p.m. Police said they apprehended five suspects in the shooting within an hour.

The victim was unidentified and his condition was unknown.

Police from Sharon and Shenango Township assisted at the scene.
