By Patrecka F. Adams Herald Staff Writer Brookfield Township patrolman Robert Mann said he just wants a safe place for schoolchildren to wait for their buses and keep the peace at the same time. "My main concern is that kids are safe, not destroying anybody's property and everybody's happy," he said. Mann said Bill Davis, owner of a house at the corner of Ohio Street and Brookfield Avenue, called police early Thursday because a disturbance broke out between him and parents of schoolchildren, including Martha Harvey of Ohio Street. Mrs. Harvey said for at least the past six years that she's lived in her home, students have been allowed to wait for buses on the gravel drive in front of Davis' home. But that all changed when school began this year. |
