A Greenville man was in fair condition Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after he was assaulted Monday evening in Greenville, police said. James Schell, 64, of 9 Bentley Ave., was punched in the face outside a Main Street business at about 7:30 p.m., Greenville-West Salem Township police said, adding the force of the blow knocked him unconscious and he fell to the ground and hit the back of his head on the concrete. Police said when they arrived, Schell was unconscious and bleeding from the back of the head. He was treated at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, and transferred to Pittsburgh, police said. |
