Crystal Drew showed Artman Elementary School students a large, pink, circular item that obviously was for ingesting.

The student teacher at Artman asked the students if they thought she was showing them a pill or a piece of candy.

A little girl answered, "Candy."

"It looks like one of those big Sweet Tarts," Ms. Drew said.

But, it was a glucose pill for diabetics, and could be harmful for a child who ate the whole thing.

Ms. Drew's message to the first- and second-graders and preschoolers was, if you don't know what something is, don't put it in your mouth; ask your parents first.

It was one of many messages the students got Wednesday at the Artman Elementary Health Fair.
