Goldsteins' new store honors patriarch, catches the eye

By Michael Roknick

It takes a bit of a squint from the bespectacled Steve Goldstone to see from one end of his Boardman store to the other.

As the chief executive officer of Goldsteins Furniture, the soft-spoken Goldstone earlier this week was checking up on final preparations for today's 1 p.m. opening of the new 51,000-square-foot store.

Located on Route 224 across from Boardman Park, the store's exterior and interior were designed to catch the eye.

"It's actually the same size as our Niles store but it looks much larger because it's sitting on a hill,'' Goldstone said.
