Developers of a proposed Eckerd Drug Store at North Hermitage and Lamor roads in Hermitage are trying to get city officials to focus on the store's immediate needs and not the city's long-term concern for the area.

They're not faring too well.

Developers brought back a new plan Monday that moves the North Hermitage driveway farther south, onto property now part of Recreation Station.

The company has a verbal agreement with Recreation Station owner Ron Phillips to allow the move, said engineer Ed Winslow.

That entrance will move turning traffic farther away from the intersection with Lamor Road.
