After three weeks of hard work, the broadcast journalism class at Thiel College is ready to show its first efforts at producing a television show to the world -- or at least Greenville area cable viewers. The students in the class put together the college's first-ever television broadcast, "TCTV Channel 9 News." The 17-minute-long premiere will air on Time Warner Cable's public access channel at 7 p.m. today. "Eventually, the goal is to have a half-hour long program once per week," said class advisor Kim Young, who was a television news reporter and anchor for 20 years before entering academia. "There are little glitches here and there, but they'll only get better from here." |
