and plenty of bones cemetery remains By Patrecka F. Adams In a remote field just off Roseview Drive in Hubbard Township, soft earth surrounds a circular grove of trees. What lies just inside the grove is what Gene Draa has come to study: the remains of an old cemetery. Using only two metal dowsing rods with wooden handles, the Vernon Township man walks the length of the grove, trying to locate graves. "There are about 12 rows of graves here," the retired accountant says as the rods crisscross, open and crisscross again in his hands. The rods turn in counterclockwise directions, which Draa says indicates there's a woman buried below. |
