A Youngstown man who threw a gun out of a car window while being pursued by police in Hermitage has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of being a convict in possession of a firearm, said a spokeswoman for U.S. District Court Judge Joy Flowers Conti. Arian S. O'Connor, 25, entered his plea Wednesday. Conti set sentencing for 10 a.m. Jan. 9. O'Connor could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Pittsburgh. O'Connor was arrested Sept. 27 in Hermitage. The Mahoning County Violent Crimes Task Force contacted Hermitage police and said O'Connor might visit a South Hermitage Road motel, police said. |
