Mercer County Regional Council of Governments has applied for state grants on behalf of recreation projects in Clark, Shenango Township, Lackawannock Township and West Middlesex. The Clark project would add playground equipment, a bench, a park shelter and a sign at the borough park. The borough is asking for $28,400 and would contribute $8,400 in in-kind services, said Melissa Koch, COG's recreation specialist. Shenango Township wants to pave a walking path, put up a retaining wall, replace the safety surfacing and put in signs at its community park. The township is asking for $40,000 and can offer $20,00 in in-kind services. |
