Haunted houses

   » Ghoul Mansion, "The Scariest Haunted House On Earth" is open at 66 N. Main St., Sharon, every weekend through Nov. 1.

Hours: 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays; 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Ghoul Mansion will be open every night from Tuesday to Nov. 1.

   » The Hubbard Kiwanis Haunted Mansion expanded by three rooms this year to feature 16 rooms of goblins, ghouls and monsters.

Hours: 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7 to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. It is open Friday through Sunday and every day from Tuesday through Nov. 1.

Tickets: $5. Several promotions will be held throughout the season, including $1 with the donation of a canned good to the Second Harvest Food Bank. For a schedule of promotions, pick up a flier in Hubbard businesses or call 1-330-534-3421.

Corn mazes

   » Find your way through the Maize Quest corn maze at Pilgram Farms on Eich Road in Delaware Township. Maize Quest not only lets visitors get lost in the maze, it also hides scavenger hunt items.

Hours: 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 16.

Tickets: $7 for adults; $5 for children ages 4-12

   » Lose yourself in the Family Corn Maze on Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township. Nearly five miles of mazes were cut into 10 acres of corn. Pony and hay rides, face painting and crafts are also available.

Hours: 5 p.m. to midnight Fridays; 10 a.m. to midnight Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets: $7 for ages 6 and older; free for children younger than 6.

Ghost stories

   » Certified Paranormal Investigator Alice Whitehill will be spinning ghostly tales at Loghurst, 3967 Boardman-Canfield Road in Canfield, Ohio. Ms. Whitehill, author of "In Tune with Spirits," will be offering a kid-friendly program. Participants should take a blanket or lawn chair and a flashlight.

Hours: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday

Tickets: $4 for adults; $3 for students and seniors; free for children younger than 5.
