A man is still hospitalized after he was hit by a car more than a week ago in Shenango Township.

Donald Rust, 63, was directing a moving van out of 2467 Mercer-West Middlesex Road at 6:41 p.m. Oct. 15 when he was hit by a car driven by Gary Vukovich, 44.

Rust was flown to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, where he was in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, a hospital spokesperson said.

Vukovich ran from the scene, police said.

Police did not give addresses for anyone involved and didn't say if Vukovich has been found or is charged with anything.
