to another hospital A 9-year-old Hermitage girl who was critically injured when she was hit by a sport-utility vehicle has been transferred to another hospital, said a spokeswoman for St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. The spokeswoman said she did not know where McKenzie Fryman was taken, and police said they did not know she had been transferred. McKenzie, 805 S. Keel Ridge Road, was admitted to St. E's in critical condition Wednesday. The fourth-grader and a friend ran across South Keel in the 700 block at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The boy made it, but McKenzie was hit by the SUV, driven by Ernest Podleyon, 83, of 2040 S. Keel Ridge, police said. Police said they have no evidence that Podleyon was speeding or otherwise was at fault. |
