Police are searching for a Sharon man who they said stabbed a teenager.

Sharon police have issued a warrant for David A. Matlock, 18, of 366 Quinby St., on a charge of aggravated assault.

Matlock and Christopher Cordero, 16, of 815 Spearman Ave., Sharon, were arguing Monday afternoon at Budd Street and New Castle Avenue when the argument escalated to shoving, police said. Matlock pulled a knife or an edged weapon and slashed Christopher on the abdomen below his left rib cage, police said.

Christopher was in stable condition Thursday afternoon at UPMC Horizon, Farrell, a hospital spokeswoman said.
