Mercer County is one of 10 in the region approved Friday to receive individual disaster assistance from the Federal and Pennsylvania emergency management agencies, according to a news release. That assistance is available for homeowners, renters and business owners who sustained damage from severe storms, tornadoes and flooding between July 21 and Sept. 12. Deadline to apply for assistance is Nov. 18. The other counties are: Lawrence, Crawford, Blair, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Venango, Warren and Wayne. All but Blair County were previously approved for assistance for local governments and certain nonprofit organizations. |
