in critical condition A 9-year-old Hermitage girl injured when she was hit by a sport-utility vehicle was listed Friday in critical but stable condition at UPMC Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, a hospital spokeswoman said. McKenzie Fryman of 805 S. Keel Ridge Road was transferred there Thursday from St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, where she was treated after Wednesday's accident. The fourth-grader and a friend ran across South Keel Ridge in the 700 block at about 3:45 p.m., police said. The boy made it, but McKenzie was hit by the SUV driven by Ernest Podleyon, 83, of 2040 S. Keel Ridge, police said. Police said they have no evidence that Podleyon speeding or otherwise at fault. |
