A hearing has been set for a Grove City music teacher who was suspended without pay in March by Grove City Area School Board for "immorality, incompetence, intemperance, and persistent negligence." Dan Konnen, 24, of Hermitage is scheduled to attend a private hearing Nov. 24 before state-assigned arbiter Christopher Miles, according to Pennsylvania State Education Association regent attorney Todd C. Park. "On that day, what will happen is the employer will have the burden of proof and we'll cross-examine their witnesses, then we put on ours," Park said Wednesday. Konnen's suspension centers around a Web site he created while he was a student at Grove City College. |
