Darkness halted an 11-hour search Friday night for an elderly woman who went missing in Springfield Township, but rescue workers planned to resume their search of the Millburn Road area this morning.

Helicopters, K-9 search dogs, and a cadaver dog were all part of the effort to find the 68-year-old woman, who has diabetes, Alzheimer's disease and mental disorders.

Olagean "Ola" Lapp walked away from her husband Joseph Lapp's mobile home at 620 Millburn Road about 9 a.m. after the couple had breakfast. Mrs. Lapp stays in a nursing home in Emlenton but her husband would bring her home for visits.

Lapp, 72, reported her missing about 9:30 a.m.
