The condition of a 9-year-old girl injured when she was hit by a sport-utility vehicle has improved. McKenzie Fryman of 805 S. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage, was listed in serious condition Monday at UPMC Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, a hospital spokeswoman said. She had been in critical condition. The girl, a fourth-grader, was hit when she ran across South Keel Ridge in the 700 block at about 3:45 p.m. Oct. 22, police said. The SUV was driven by Ernest Podleyon, 83, of 2040 S.
