BRIEFLY Silent candidate stays mum on voter's choice JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP --Mark W. Williams didn't want to talk issues or qualifications when he was campaigning to become a Jefferson Township supervisor So, why should he talk now that the voters are giving him the chance? "I'm your silent candidate," said Williams, 38, of 7008 Lamor Road. "Let's keep it that way." The Republican outdistanced Democrat Jim Lindrose, 43, of 6956 E. State St., who had earned a spot on the ballot by a primary write-in campaign. What kind of supervisor will Williams be? "God only knows," he said. |
