Fagley bows out of case against Roesch

District Justice William Fagley recused himself from hearing the case of former Greenville-West Salem Township policeman William Roesch. The case will now be heard by District Justice Ruth French in Mercer.

Fagley cited his long relationship with the Greenville-West Salem police department and with Roesch as his reason for bowing out.

Roesch, 47, whose last known address was 189 Hamburg Road, Hempfield Township, was arraigned by Fagley Oct. 30 on 12 counts filed by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.

He is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness, indecent assault and official oppression. The Attorney General's office said Roesch, while a patrolman with the department, sexually harassed several women, some of whom were employed by the borough as dispatchers.

His preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 11 before French.
