The condition of a 9-year-old Hermitage girl hit by a sport utility vehicle Oct. 22 continues to improve.

McKenzie Fryman of 805 S. Keel Ridge Road was listed in fair condition Friday at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The fourth-grader was hit as she ran across the 700 block of South Keel Ridge by an SUV driven by Ernest Podleyon, 83, of 2040 S. Keel Ridge, police said.
