Myron Worona and his family have made their involvement with Ansambl' Karavan into a family affair that has lasted more than 20 years.

A founding member of the ethnic dance troupe, Worona once played the accordion for the group, while his wife Nancy danced. His two sons Myron, 14, and Michael, 12, currently perform in the troupe.

"We were all teenagers at the time and we had a lot of fun," Worona said of his early years with the troupe. "There was something for us to do and we traveled all over. We had a ton of fun."

Worona will revisit those good times when he emcees Karavan's 25th anniversary concert gala, which will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church, Hermitage.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The group's founder, choreographer and Worona's sister, Carol Novosel, said this concert is a gift to the community.
