Herald Staff Writer They came in pickup trucks, cars, bicycles and skateboards. Some even came on foot. Jonathan Yensick's friends and family flocked to the utility pole at Standard Avenue and Oak Street in Masury on Tuesday night to memorialize Jonathan's life on the first anniversary of his death. They left behind flowers, stuffed animals, necklaces, burning candles and other items to serve as small tributes to a life cut short at 14. "We were all close," Aaron Prezgay said of Jonathan and the crowd who gathered to mark his passing. "Even if we got into fights, we always made up. He was a normal kid. He definitely didn't deserve this." |
