house arrest A Grove City man who was driving drunk with his daughter in his sport utility vehicle when he was involved in a crash last year was sentenced to house arrest and probation Tuesday. Scott B. Knouse, 35, of 607 Bessemer Ave., was sentenced by Mercer County Judge Michael J. Wherry to 30 days of house arrest and 24 months less 33 days of probation. He was also ordered to pay a $300 fine and court costs and undergo mandatory counseling. Wherry postponed Knouse's house arrest until Jan. 6 so he can work at his father's business during the busy holiday season. Knouse was driving his SUV drunk on state Route 58 in Findley Township Sept. 20, 2002 with his 2-year-old daughter, Abbigail in the vehicle. Knouse's SUV was hit from behind by a pickup truck driven by Donald M. Nagle, 56, of 129 Seidle Road, Jefferson Township, police said. Nagle was also charged with drunken driving. |
