for suspended music teacher A hearing for a music teacher who was suspended without pay in March by Grove City Area School Board for "immorality, incompetence, intemperance and persistent negligence" has been rescheduled. Dan Konnen, 24, of Hermitage had been scheduled to attend a private hearing this past Monday before state-assigned arbiter Christopher Miles, according to Pennsylvania State Education Association regent attorney Todd C. Park. But Park asked to have the one-day hearing rescheduled to two consecutive days. "We think we need that amount of time," he said. No dates have been set, but they will probably occur in January or early February, Park said. Konnen's suspension centers around a Web site he created while he was a student at Grove City College. |
