Man robbed at gunpoint in parking lot

A man got out of his car and was confronted by a blue revolver against his stomach and another man telling him "Give me your money or I'll kill you."

The 43-year-old Mercer-area victim said he had just gotten out of his car at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot in the 2100 block of East State Street in Hermitage, police said.

The man gave up an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robber walked back to his car, which was nearby, and drove onto North Buhl Farm Drive, police said.

The robber left in a newer-model, mid-sized, four-door car with an Ohio license plate. The victim did not get the entire license number, but the letters "RG" were part of it, police said.

The robber was described as white, possibly with a tan complexion, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair, possibly in a ponytail, and a short beard. In his early 30s, the robber was well-groomed and thin. He wore blue jeans and a dark blue pullover sweater, police said.
