The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gayatso, leads these Buddhist monks, who are living in exile in the Gaden Lhopa Monastery in India. They arrived in New Wilmington Monday and will depart this evening. During their stay, the monks lectured about Buddhism, the current state of Chinese occupation of Tibet and constructed an intricate and colorful mandala, which represents the realm of the realm of the Buddha of Compassion. On Tuesday, Lobsang Wangchuk and Geshe Ngawang Lungtok spoke to about 100 students, faculty and staff members on the foundations of Buddhism.
