State police have identified the driver of a pickup involved in a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon in Wolf Creek Township.

Police said a truck driven by William J. Hilty Jr., 20, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., went through a stop sign on Scrubgrass Road and broadsided a southbound car on state Route 173.

The driver of the car, Betty Jean Cassida, 47, of 1307 Brentwood Drive, Reynolds, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, adding Hilty was treated at United Community Hospital, Pine Township.
