By Cary Snyder Herald Staff Writer Brookfield Township trustees discussed the possibility of dredging and damming Yankee Run Creek last week. According to Trustee J. Philip Schmidt, no firm course of action has been decided upon for the creek that flooded after a thunderstorm in July. State Sen. Marc Dann, D-32nd District, officials from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Federal Emergency Management Agency attended the meeting. "We need to have future meetings with the Army Corps of Engineers," Schmidt said. "Everything else is just brainstorming." Dann plans to have another meeting to help determine how to fund the appropriate action after an official study is done on the lake. |
