Serious charges connected to the killing of 29-year-old Charles Palm of Greenville could be filed against a Brookfield man next week, said Trumbull County prosecutor Chris Becker. Becker asked Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Judge Wyatt McKay not to reduce the bond of Craig R. Kroner, 22, of 1392 Warner Road, because Kroner could soon be facing very serious charges. "I anticipate a dramatic change in the circumstances of this case," Becker said at a pre-trial hearing Wednesday. Kroner's attorney, Benjamin Joltin, had asked McKay to consider reducing Kroner's bail, which is set at $250,000. Kroner is being held on a felony charge of tampering with evidence in the case. Kroner was indicted on the charge Oct. 24. A second man, Bruce Coxson, 46, of 6777 State Route 88, Vernon Township, Ohio, was indicted on the same charge Dec. 2 in connection with Palm's death. |
