A man who failed to return to Mercer County Jail last week after his work-release now faces charges filed by Hermitage police. Timothy George Hassan, 22, of 510 Sheridan St., Hermitage, was charged by Hermitage police Wednesday with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said. Hassan was supposed to return to the jail at 8 a.m. Dec. 2 after he finished his job at a Hubbard business but never returned. Sharon police arrested him at about 10 a.m. that day near 412 Malleable St., Sharon, which is another address given for Hassan. Hermitage police said Hassan stole a car from his place of employment in Hubbard but it broke down in a gas station parking lot in Hermitage. Hassan then asked an employee if he could borrow his car for half an hour. |
