Sex and intimidation charges against a former Greenville-West Salem Township policeman have been bound to the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas.

At a preliminary hearing Thursday, District Justice Ruth French, Mercer, found there was enough evidence in the case against William G. Roesch to send the matter to the higher court.

Roesch is charged with three counts of indecent exposure, two counts of indecent assault, three counts of open lewdness and four counts of official oppression. All of the charges are misdemeanors, and were filed Oct. 30, the result of a two-year investigation by the state Attorney General's Office.

Four women took the stand at the hearing. Three had worked as dispatchers for Greenville-West Salem Township Police Department.

The women told how Roesch harassed them, solicited them for sex or masturbated in front of them.
