A search for a New Castle man last seen Monday night turned up nothing Saturday. Police said that at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, Dave Woods and his son-in-law Anthony Mike were hunting raccoons from a canoe on the Shenango River when their boat hit some brush and trees and flipped over, Neshannock Township police said. Mike was able to make his way back to the riverbank, but Woods has not been seen since, police said. Township police and fire officials joined fire departments from Pulaski, Mahoning and Union townships in the search, which began at 9 a.m. Saturday and continued into the late afternoon. Divers, inflatable Zodiac boats from the Crescent and Coraopolis fire departments and nine search dogs from Caesar also participated in the search, authorities said. |
