James N. Galantis has been named the publisher of the Allied News, effective Jan. 1.

Galantis, who lives in Hermitage, has been at Allied since January 1990, when he was named marketing manager, in charge of advertising and circulation.

Upon completion of corporate management training programs in 1991, he was named general manager of Allied News, adding newsroom responsibility to his duties.

As publisher, Galantis will maintain his role as overseer of all operations at the twice-weekly based in Grove City, and work closely with editor Brad Isles, and John L. Lima, publisher of The Herald, Allied's sister publication.
