TRUMBULL COUNTY
Musicians get down to it at fair
The Little River Band set out to produce a harmony-dominant sound with mass appeal, and succeeded handsomely in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
The Australian band, which plays at 8 p.m. Friday at Trumbull County Fair, Bazetta Township, graced radio and the charts with "Reminiscing," "Lady," "Lonesome Loser," "Cool Change," "Happy Anniversary" and "The Night Owls."
The current version of the band is led by guitarist Stephen Housden, a 17-year-member, and bassist Roger McLachlan, a founding member who played on the first two albums, "Little River Band" and "Diamantina Cocktail." Keyboardist Adrian Scott was a founding member of Air Supply.
Country Rockin’ opens the show at 7 p.m. Information: (330) 637-6010.
