`Town’s 125th birthday marked with variety show`

The 125th Special Projects Committee of Sharpsville will hold a Community Variety Show at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 in the Sharpsville Area High School Auditorium.

Community groups preparing performances include Sharpsville Service Club “Santas,” the Band Boosters, Athletic Boosters, teachers, historical society, Mayor Ken Robertson, Parent-Teacher Organization, and the 125th Birthday Committee.

The Walnut Street Lodge, Linda Lucas Dance Studio, Jackie Lou’s Dance Studio, a jazz trio headed by high school band director Todd Stefan, gymnasts, and instrumental and vocal soloists also will perform.

Tickets: at the door or in advance at Pompa’s Beauty Salon, Palo Florist, Walnut Street Lodge, Muscarella’s Cafe Italia, Claudia & Company, Sharpsville Floral and Gift Shop, and the borough building.
