`Cops: Man gives pair a ride and is robbed`

Two men robbed a 20-year-old Brookfield man at gunpoint early this morning on Mesabi Street, Sharon police said.

The man told police he had given two men a ride home at 2:10 a.m. to the 200 block of Mesabi Street when one of the men pulled a chrome, semi-automatic .380 handgun and demanded money, police said.

The men took about $500 from the victim and fled on foot as police, who were called to the area because of loud music, shined a flashlight on the group, police said.

The men were known to the victim and arrest warrants have been issued, police said.
