`Man killed after his car runs off road and hits tree`

A Fairview Township man died Sunday after his car went off the road and ran head on into a tree. Douglas W. Knapp, 41, of 1551 N. Perry Highway, was driving east on Delaware Road in Fairview Township, at 8:30 p.m. when his car left the road and hit a tree, state police said.

He was flown to Horizon Hospital System, Greenville, police said. Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department responded.
