What a seismograph recorded

lots of wiggly little lines
A photo of the College of Wooster's seismograph shows an earthquake at 3:53 EDT that lasted over a minute on Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in the midwest area of the United States. According to the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo., the quake was centered in northeast Pennsylvania, about 15 miles northeast of Sharon, Pa. The earthquake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2, shook buildings and rattled dishes in at least four states, but apparently caused little or no damage. (AP Photo/The College of Wooster)
