`Fire department fund drive is under way`

As part of their 15th annual truck fund drive, Hermitage volunteer firefighters are asking for donations to buy a thermal imager to help them find hot spots in dense smoke.

A donation card for the fund drive and information packet on fire education and safety material has been sent to Hermitage and Lacka-wannock Township residents served by the department. Donations are tax-deductible.

Burning rules and information on carbon monoxide and smoke detec-tors is included in the material.

To make a contribution, return the card and envelope to the Her-mitage Volunteer Fire Department, 2511 Highland Road, Hermitage, 16148.
