Farrell man is charged in shooting
Larry J. Cozart Jr., 25, of 618 Fruit Ave., Farrell, turned himself in at 9:57 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant accusing him of recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct, Sharon police said.
Cozart fired shots at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 200 block of Mesabi Street, police said, adding that they found 11 casings from a 9 mm handgun. One bullet went through an apartment door and into the wall; others hit the building and two hit a parked car, police said
Police say Cozart was shooting at Andre Campbell, no age or address available, in retaliation for Campbell allegedly shooting at two men at 2 a.m. the same day in Farrell. The two men were treated at UPMC Horizon, Farrell.
Campbell was charged by Southwest Mercer County Regional Police with reckless endangerment and a firearms violation.
Cozart was arraigned before District Justice James E. McMahon and released on his own recognizance.
