Sharon teacher hired as elementary principal

Jamestown Area School Board Monday hired a Sharon elementary school teacher to be its new elementary school principal.

Brian Schaller, 33, of Sharon was hired to replace Mary Reames as principal. The board set his salary at $58,000.

Schaller is in his ninth year as a sixth-grade teacher at Case Avenue Elementary. He will start as Jamestown Elementary School principal on July 1, when Mrs. Reames assumes her new responsibilities with Jamestown Area School District.

Mrs. Reames will be promoted to supervisor of student support in curriculum and instruction. She had been the elementary school principal for more than 20 years.
