`Meadville man improving after Thursday crash`

A Hempfield Township injured in a car-van accident Thursday in the township has been released, while the condition of a Meadville man has improved, said a spokeswoman for UPMC Horizon, Greenville.

Debra Dye, 38, of 98 Hamburg Road, was released Saturday, and Stephen Hoffman, 38, was listed in satisfactory condition, she said.

Hoffman was northbound at 11:50 a.m. on Hamburg Road when his car crossed the center line on a curve and collided with Ms. Dye’s van, police said.
