FCA director to help Downtown Ministries celebrate its 5th year
Downtown Ministries Inc. will mark its fifth year on Sept. 25 with two events.
A golf outing is planned for noon at Pine Grove Golf Course, 38 Fairway Drive, Pine Township. A banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Penn Grove Hotel, 129 E. Pine St., Grove City.
The regional director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes will speak at the banquet. Wade Salem also works with Family First Sports Park, Erie. He played college basketball for Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff before spending three years as a missionary in Asia. He also traveled the world for five years spreading the gospel with Sports Ambassadors.
Salem and his wife, Jamie, live in Erie with their three children.
Downtown Ministries operates Mustard Seed Jam House, Greenville, which opened in December 1995; Jam House at the Loft, Stoneboro, which opened in September 1998; and Broad Street Jam House, Grove City, which opened in February 1999.
Cost is $40 for golf, $25 for the banquet or $60 for both. Golf includes 18 holes, a cart, lunch and refreshments, a commemorative T-shirt and prizes.
