HERMITAGE
Public meeting to be held Thursday on state Route 18 widening
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on the state Route 18 road widening project from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hermitage municipal building.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss right-of-way impacts.
PennDOT, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, is in the final stages of designing the road project.
The project includes road widening, resurfacing, signal upgrades, drainage updates, guide rails and shoulder upgrades. The project covers 2.6 miles of road north of the Shenango Valley Freeway to the existing four-lane cloverleaf.
The meeting will include a brief presentation, open house and review of project plans. PennDOT representatives will be present.
Anyone having special needs or requiring special aids should contact PennDOT prior to the meeting so they can be accommodated.
