Herald’s 3rd section to return
The three-section daily format for The Herald, which was discontinued in 1998, will return beginning with the Jan. 1 edition.
The Sunday edition will remain a four-section newspaper.
The three-section Herald will include a front section containing both local and wire news, followed by the Sports section, and a Community section, which will include classified advertising as well as other local news.
In addition to a focus on local news, the three-section format will aim to expand The Herald’s sports coverage by having that news in a section dedicated solely to sports.
