Auditions set in January for 2 shows
Trumbull New Theatre has set auditions for two upcoming shows, “The Gingerbread Lady” and “Monky Business.”
Director Jim LaPolla will hold auditions for Neil Simon’s play “The Gingerbread Lady” from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 9.
The production will run March 20-25.
Cast requirements for the story of a popular singer finishing a 10-week drying out period at a sanitarium are two women ages 40 to 45, two men in their 30s, and a woman and man ages 16 to 20.
Technicians also are needed.

Terri Gilbert holds auditions for “Monky Business” from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 30.
The musical will run May 5 to 27.
Todd Mueller and Hank Bolland wrote the tale of monks who try to raise money to prevent a monastery from becoming a gambling parlor. The cast requires five men ages 25 and over. Hopefuls are to bring a musical piece in their vocal range. An accompanist will be provided.
