The Learning Dog Training &
Enrichment Center is a behavior-
based dog training facility located
in Hubbard. Katie Costello and
Jenny Falvey are the owners and
are both certified professional
dog trainers, each with over 15
years’ training experience.
Costello is also a licensed vet-
erinary technician. Our training
focuses on building the human-
animal bond through non-aversive
methods. Our class offering in-
cludes puppy, four levels of obedi-
ence traditional
or clicker, begin-
ner and ad-
vanced confor-
mation, Canine
Good Citizen
dog, therapy dog, agility, tricks
and games, scent games, search
and rescue, classes for aggressive
or fearful dogs and more.
We offer behavior consulta-
tions, private in-home training and
are experienced in working ag-
gression, fear and anxiety cases.
Through the support of the
public, animal rescues and the
veterinary community, we out-
grew our original building that
opened in 2010 and moved into a
4,500-square-foot facility with six
training rooms in June 2011.
In 2012, we will offer new class-
es, dog play dates and education-
al seminars for the public on top-
ics such as aggression, body
language, play, resource guarding
and more. Our open house in
June of 2012 will be a fundraising
event for local animal rescues.
With a struggling economy, we
strive to offer affordable classes
and private training. We also offer
membership packages that can
save an owner considerable costs
so that everyone can take advan-
tage of training their four-legged
friend. We support animal rescue
and offer a 10 percent discount
for any first class to an adopted
shelter dog.
Training is critical in having a
well-mannered dog. And any
problem behaviors should be ad-
dressed with behavior modifica-
tion.
We believe training should be
a positive experience for both
owner and dog. We strive to ed-
ucate our clients on how to bet-
ter communicate with and un-
derstand their dogs to create a
strong and healthy relationship.
