Grove City Area
Chamber of Commerce
While many chambers of
commerce across the coun-
try are losing members, los-
ing money, and having to re-
define their chambers, Grove
City Area Chamber of Com-
merce is experiencing
growth. Our membership
has never been stronger, our
finances have never been
sounder and
our outlook
has never
been more
positive.
G r o v e
City Area Chamber of Com-
merce has operated inde-
pendently since 1952, and we
have no plans of changing
that.
In our 60th year of exis-
tence, we pledge to remain
Grove City Area Chamber of
Commerce for the next 60
years and beyond, serving
the area with the pride, dig-
nity and spirit it deserves.
In 2012, we plan to do
many things to benefit our
members and our communi-
ty. We plan to develop a
restaurant guide that will
market our restaurants to
both locals and visitors. We
plan to continue to update
our website.
These enhancements will
continue to make it a one-
stop shop for visitors, job
seekers, event seekers, and
the community as a whole.
With the recent addition of
member advertisers, the site
continues to be a great place
for our members to get no-
ticed.
The chamber recently
leased office space to a new
tenant, enabling this new
business to get started and
further strengthening the
commerce community.
The Grove City Young
Professionals continues to
grow. This group has philan-
thropic plans that will benefit
our community. This group
is the future of the business
community.
We plan to have deeper
membership involvement in
2012. We are always looking
for ways to engage our mem-
bers, offer more benefits and
make their membership
more meaningful.
We will continue to offer
quarterly meetings for the
full membership which open
the lines of communication
between the chamber and
our members.
We will continue to offer
member benefits like dis-
count amusement park tick-
ets, the 2+2 Program with
Hick’s Office Plus, and our
newest benefit, the Arm-
strong MySavings Program.
We plan to explore educa-
tional programs and offer
more opportunities for mem-
bers. We will continue to
work closely with the local
nonprofits for the betterment
of the entire community.
The chamber will continue
to offer the events and pro-
grams that our members and
the community have come to
look forward to, including
the annual Trade Show on
March 3, the Chamber Day
Golf Outing, the Working
Women’s Luncheon, Eggs ’n
Issues, the Grove City
Chamber Awards Evening: A
Red Carpet Event, Christmas
in the Park and many others,

With many clients taking a
conservative approach to
construction projects in 2011,
this coming year will see
some taking another look at
improving their existing facil-
ities, or even expanding
them.
Edinboro University is one
client that is on the go. Both
the Edinboro and Porreco
Center campuses have seen
significant investment in re-
cent years, and 2012 will be
no different. On the Edin-
boro campus last year, we
completed a new 130-seat
lecture hall and studio pro-
duction suite. The facility ex-
pands instructional opportu-
nities for the Department of
Psychology and Department
of Communication Arts.
This year, we are design-
ing an addition to their Edu-
cation building, renovations
to the first floor of a class-
room building for the Army
ROTC program, and im-
provements to the Cooper
Hall science
labs. On the
P o r r e c o
Center cam-
pus, we are
altering and
adding onto an academic
support building.
Mercer County is also on
the go. The commissioners
are proceeding with capital
improvements to the Leslie
Firth Learning Center, which
will improve the building’s
energy efficiency and provide
more usable space. Another
county effort involves the
Munnell Run Farm’s Shared
Use Kitchen Project, which
will convert a former laundry
building into a kitchen incu-
bator to be used by local
growers and entrepreneurs.
We completed plans and
specifications for the project,
which Munnell Run Fam is
now using to secure funding
from both public and private
sources.
As you position your com-
pany to take advantage of
the opportunities to come in
2012, think about the impor-
tance of good planning – and
think of HHSDR as your
partner to help you grow.

The year 2011 was one of
growth in Reynolds Industri-
al Park, which Greenville-
Reynolds Development Corp.
has operated since 1951.
During 2011, PM Recov-
ery, SERVPRO of Mercer
County, and Superior Energy
Services, LLC, moved into
the park, which is located be-
tween Her-
mitage and
Greenville.
PM Re-
c o v e r y
moved here
from New Castle; they oper-
ate as a direct processor and
logistics company for scrap
metals, specializing in vanadi-
um, cobalt, and spent cata-
lyst recycling.
SERVPRO is a restoration
and cleaning service busi-
ness that is leasing a devel-
opment-owned
building.
They offer their expertise to
commercial and residential
customers.
Superior Energy Services,
LLC, whose headquarters is
in Louisiana, moved into a
development-owned building
as well. Superior provides
specialized services for oil
and gas drilling companies.
ln addition to the growth
from new businesses, Salem
Tube Inc., which has been in
the park for more than 20
years, is expanding its opera-
tions. They are constructing
a new building and expect to
increase their workforce.
ln addition to Reynolds In-
dustrial Park, the corporation
owns Reynolds North and
Reynolds East business
parks and the water and
wastewater companies that
provide service to the area.
The parks offer services
such as broadband service,
high-speed wireless service,
rail access, and Keystone
Opportunity
Expansion
Zones (which means virtual-
ly no state or local taxes
through the year 2020) and
Pennsylvania Select (shovel-
ready) sites.
Motor freight services are
abundant throughout the
area to deliver the raw mate-
rials as well as shipping the
manufactured goods.
